Brand illustrations
Four abstract / system illustrations — not character work (Cosmo lives separately, hero plush still routes to freelancer). These are the visual vocabulary for the landing page, brand-guidelines doc, social posts, slide decks. Each holds the brand: Carbon strokes on Paper, one Signal accent per illustration, geometric not playful.

Conventions for adding more illustrations to the library, plus rules for how these get used in the wild.
Brand-coherence rules
Strokes are #0A0A0A (Carbon). Fills default to #FFFFFF (Paper). One Signal-yellow accent per illustration — used to mark the activation moment, threshold line, or return-flow. Never more than one Signal element.
No gradients. No purple, no blue, no rainbow, no decorative ornament. The illustrations read as engineered systems, not as marketing fluff.
Stroke width 1.5 for diagrams, 2 for emphasized boundaries, 3 for the threshold/highlight line. Round line caps where appropriate.
Production specs
Format: SVG. ViewBox-based, scalable to any size. Text uses Geist + Geist Mono via Google Fonts @import; falls back to system fonts cleanly.
For print: outline text in Illustrator before delivery; Pantone Black C for Carbon strokes, Pantone 116 C for Signal accent.
For animation (Wave 4): the activation pulse can animate (concentric squares pulsing outward); the source-to-skill flow can animate (cards sliding into the Signal block); the eval bars can animate (bars filling to threshold). Keep motion principles consistent with enact-logo-animation.html — staggered entrances, no scroll-triggered loops.
What's missing (Wave 4 candidates)
Two install targets diagram (Claude Code + Anthropic platform) · skill-card stack (visual representation of the library) · two-month retention curve (for pricing/moat sections) · refusal explainer (a skill that didn't pass — what the user sees instead of delivery).
Each addition follows the same constraints: Carbon-on-Paper, single Signal accent, geometric, no ornament. Add when a specific landing-page section or social-post template needs it, not speculatively.
What these are not
Not character work. Cosmo lives in design/assets/cosmo-pixel-v2/ and at hero scale routes to the freelance illustrator per ILLUSTRATOR_BRIEF.md. These illustrations and Cosmo are different layers of the visual system.
Not stock illustration. Not generic SaaS line-art. Not the Tailwind-default "minimalist productivity" register. If a new illustration looks like it could be on a Notion landing page, restart.
