Enact / Brand System / Wave 3b · Illustration library

Brand illustrations

Four abstract / system illustrations — not character work (Cosmo lives separately, hero plush still routes to freelancer). These are the visual vocabulary for the landing page, brand-guidelines doc, social posts, slide decks. Each holds the brand: Carbon strokes on Paper, one Signal accent per illustration, geometric not playful.

Activation pulse

assets/illustrations/01-activation-pulse.svg
Activation pulse — concentric squares around a Signal block
Paper
Mist
Carbon
Signal

What it is

The activation moment, abstracted. Four concentric Carbon squares fading outward from a central Signal block. Reads as "fired." The Signal block at the center is the moment; the outer squares are the propagation through the user's Claude session.

Use for

Hero illustrations on activation-themed pages · social tile anchors when announcing a new skill · slide-deck section breaks · brand-guidelines "atmosphere" examples · animated as a loop in motion deliverables (Wave 4+).

02

Source-to-skill flow

assets/illustrations/02-source-to-skill.svg
Source to skill flow — three sources feeding Enact, output as SKILL.md or DESIGN.md

What it is

Horizontal flow: three source-type cards on the left (YouTube, PDF, article) feed into the central Signal-yellow Enact block, and exit as either SKILL.md or DESIGN.md on the right. Eval-pass score (0.91) tagged on the output. The whole product mechanic in one diagram.

Use for

Landing page "How it works" hero · onboarding step-2 explainer · marketing collateral · explaining the SKILL.md vs DESIGN.md branching to designers and developers in a single image.

03

Eval harness bars

assets/illustrations/03-eval-bars.svg
Eval harness — 10 horizontal bars with threshold line at 0.70

What it is

Ten horizontal bars representing the eval harness's ten test queries. Seven trigger queries in Carbon (varying widths showing trigger confidence), three negative controls in Graphite. Signal-yellow vertical line marks the 0.70 threshold — anything below it gets refused. This is the moat made visible.

Use for

Eval-moat sections (Carbon-on-Paper) · technical credibility moments · Hacker News and Anthropic Discord launch posts · Show HN demo screenshot · brand-guidelines "what we mean by measurement" examples.

04

Three actors

assets/illustrations/04-three-actors.svg
Three actors diagram — You, Enact, Claude — with connecting flow arrows

What it is

You · Enact · Claude as three labeled columns with geometric stand-ins (a hand-shape for You, the Signal block for Enact, a Carbon square with face for Claude). Top arrows show the source flow from You → Enact → Claude; a Signal-yellow return arc shows the activation feedback closing the loop. Demystifies "what's actually happening."

Use for

The "what each thing does" section on the landing page · onboarding closer ("here's the loop you're now in") · brand-guidelines "system view" diagram · investor explainer · response to the r/ClaudeAI "why would I do this?" question.

Build & usage notes

Conventions for adding more illustrations to the library, plus rules for how these get used in the wild.

Brand-coherence rules

Strokes are #0A0A0A (Carbon). Fills default to #FFFFFF (Paper). One Signal-yellow accent per illustration — used to mark the activation moment, threshold line, or return-flow. Never more than one Signal element.

No gradients. No purple, no blue, no rainbow, no decorative ornament. The illustrations read as engineered systems, not as marketing fluff.

Stroke width 1.5 for diagrams, 2 for emphasized boundaries, 3 for the threshold/highlight line. Round line caps where appropriate.

Production specs

Format: SVG. ViewBox-based, scalable to any size. Text uses Geist + Geist Mono via Google Fonts @import; falls back to system fonts cleanly.

For print: outline text in Illustrator before delivery; Pantone Black C for Carbon strokes, Pantone 116 C for Signal accent.

For animation (Wave 4): the activation pulse can animate (concentric squares pulsing outward); the source-to-skill flow can animate (cards sliding into the Signal block); the eval bars can animate (bars filling to threshold). Keep motion principles consistent with enact-logo-animation.html — staggered entrances, no scroll-triggered loops.

What's missing (Wave 4 candidates)

Two install targets diagram (Claude Code + Anthropic platform) · skill-card stack (visual representation of the library) · two-month retention curve (for pricing/moat sections) · refusal explainer (a skill that didn't pass — what the user sees instead of delivery).

Each addition follows the same constraints: Carbon-on-Paper, single Signal accent, geometric, no ornament. Add when a specific landing-page section or social-post template needs it, not speculatively.

What these are not

Not character work. Cosmo lives in design/assets/cosmo-pixel-v2/ and at hero scale routes to the freelance illustrator per ILLUSTRATOR_BRIEF.md. These illustrations and Cosmo are different layers of the visual system.

Not stock illustration. Not generic SaaS line-art. Not the Tailwind-default "minimalist productivity" register. If a new illustration looks like it could be on a Notion landing page, restart.
